I suppose you could look at this garbage of a presidency as a kind of wake up call: we revere (on one side) and revile (on ‘tother”) the same man, for different reasons. If we survive this, maybe there will be enough power left in our system to realize it needs a serious overhaul: when the roof leaks a bit, you grab a pail and corral it. When the pail is full, you empty it, curse the rain, and start over. But when the roof springs leak after leak, pretty soon you realize you need a new roof, not just more buckets.

Where You Are
Where you are, is in darkness now.
Where I am, is barely afternoon.
As I plan lunch
you are sitting down to dinner.
As I get ready for an afternoon of shopping
you have begun your evening
in a city I will never see.
When I awaken in the morning
you are already gone to wherever you go;
and over marmalade and toast
I shall think of you
at a small white cafe with friends,
ordering lunch, to be eaten outside
under green umbrellas in the sun. -
It’s hard enough some days, just navigating between sites…
It’s hard enough some days, just navigating between sites in here, it seems that folks who control those places really don’t want you there. I just spent five minutes trying to access a fairly non-threatening site using “a password’ and “a name”. I have several, and each and every one of them has a password. or several. When one was rejected, I tried another. Nope. After about a dozen tries, I gave up. It feels a bit like Im trying to break into Fort Knox with a toy gun and a rubber knife, and no one can distinguish the reality from the fantasy.
sigh. kicks can. shuffles off.

It also seems that our fearful leader is being stonewalled by the states he is trying to ‘save’ from themselves. Oregon is not thrilled about it, and is fighting back. Interesting, we are sort of going to war with our own President.
